BLOGGER TALK
Three years and counting…
Submitted by Curtains Are Open on 04.8.13 at 7:02am.
Three years ago tomorrow I began this blog after much encouragement from many people who believed I should “tell my story.”
So…I wrote.
And I wrote.
And five hundred and fifty-seven posts later…I’m still not done.

Woman of the Week – Pat
Submitted by Mother and Fitness blog on 04.5.13 at 7:13am.
My name is Brooke and I would like to nominate my aunt Pat for the Woman of the Week Award. Pat is a very kind and gentle soul, and has a way of brightening up a room just by entering it.

Why I blog
Submitted by Little Blue Anchor on 04.3.13 at 7:32am.
I get angry, frustrated, sad, I argue, sleep in too much and stay in my PJ's more than not. I'm human and doing the best I can as a new Mama. I believe in positive and negative attraction. If you put negative vibes out there you get negative feedback, if you put positive, you get positive. I am c...

SERIOUS DILEMMA
Submitted by The Newcomer on 03.25.13 at 7:37am.
Much as Hamlet, Prince of the Danes, pondered whether to be or not to be, sending generations of theatre-lovers and lit-crits in a tizzy, I am pondering, Gentle Reader, whether to wake or not to wake.
The Golden Boy is sleeping. It is 6:57 pm.
The Gentle Mothers amongst my Gentle Readership wi...

The Golden Boy’s favourite song is “Another brick in the wall”. Don’t get me wrong- we have listened and watched “Gangham Style” fifty thousand times since last fall, and the Golden Boy and Princess’s “horsey” dance moves are indeed particularly adorable. An hour and a half
Submitted by Rainy Saturday on 02.27.13 at 7:12am.
Last night, I had a basketball game at 7:00, so rather than going home after work and rushing back into the city, I stayed in town. I worked until a bit after 5:00, then realized I had an hour and a half to kill, by myself, before I had to be at the school to play. It was one of those spur-of-the...

LEGO
Submitted by The Newcomer on 12.10.12 at 7:37am.
We had an amazing lego collection, when we were kids, growing up in a middle-class suburb close to Mehrabad. Our father wanted us all to be engineers, and to that end, whenever he travelled overseas, he would bring us back fabulous colourful boxes of Lego, the likes of which no other child in the...

Big Day Downtown
Submitted by Wth Bite on 10.31.11 at 8:19am.
My Big Day Downtown started off like any other: I got up, brushed my teeth and hopped on an amphibious vehicle that rolled through the streets of Halifax and then plunged into the harbour. Well, I guess that’s not really the ‘usual’ morning for me, so let me tell you how it really happened.

The game’s afoot
Submitted by To Halifax and Gone on 10.7.09 at 6:30am.
Today was the first of the season in which I leave in the dark and return in the dark. The way back was darker than the way out, and my route a bit less well lit and along the east side of Victoria Park.
