Let's Discovery: Twice in a Lifetime!
Submitted by HRM Parent on 05.18.12 at 6:54am.
On June 6th of this year, a very rare event will occur in our skies at sunset: the planet Venus will meander through its orbit along a path that takes it between the Sun and the Earth, making it visible during the day as a dark spot on the bright disc of the Sun. This isn't an eclipse (scheduled ...

But Mommm: Definition
Submitted by HRM Parent blog on 05.15.12 at 6:49am.
The alarm went off at 5:15am. I rolled out of bed, threw on my yoga pants, tiptoed down the hall and walked out the door. A quick drive-through for a coffee and within minutes I was walking through the grocery store filling my cart with everything we’d need for the coming days (remembering things...

This morning, me and the kids went to a friends house. She has four kids, two at home and two in school. The kids played and played. First it was with play dough, then the trampoline and it ended in a mud pile. Both of mind kids (and one of hers) had muddy hands, muddy feet and muddy clothes.

There are a couple of trees in our yard just crying out for this Fairy Door. You can buy the accessories -- the little windows with the flower boxes and the lantern, which LIGHTS UP AT DUSK AND TURNS OFF AT DAWN -- but I'm wondering if they're overkill.
